Closing Ceremony: End Of Season Party

The Spirit U12 Boys had their last official get-together on Saturday May 11th 2013 at the Hwy 301 home field.

It was a pot luck style lunch event. Before lunch though, the U12 boys challenged the parents and all onlookers willing to participate to a friendly match. It was close but the boys won with a 7 to 6 score.

Then there was lunch, followed by a medal presentation by the coaches to all the boys alone with a few words of praise and encouragement to each of them.

Great team meeting and get together as has come to be expected by our team.

That officially ended the U12 boys season. On to next year and the upcoming tryouts for our U13 team. (see Previous post for details)

Notable Absence: Myles unfortunately could not attend this event as he was busy with his tackle football team. We missed you Myles.

Spirit U12 Boy will be having soccer try outs for the upcoming season 2013-2014 (Next Year), which what will then be the Spirit U13 Boys Team.

The new soccer season training will start around late August 2013 but attending try outs is always advisable as there is only a limited amount of available applicants that will be accepted.

We are looking for a few players to complete our existing roster. Prior experience in competitive play while helpful is definitely NOT necessary.

We are more interested in players willing to learn this great game of soccer, who are not afraid to give that little extra effort when necessary and who are of good moral fiber.

Our current is made up of a diverse group of players and families who all get alone very well, and we are looking of like minded players (and families) to join us.

Try Out Dates:
May 28th - Tuesday ~ 6:00 - 7:30 pm
May 29th - Wednesday ~ 6:00 - 7:30 pm
May 30th - Thursday ~ 6:00 - 7:30 pm
and
June 1st - Saturday ~ 9:00 -11:00 am

Encore: Tampa Spirit U12 Boys Plays One Last Tournament

Our Tampa Spirit U12 Boys decided to finish the season with a 6 on 6 tournament. Just to give our players more chance to touch the ball and also experience a new format of the game our coach decided to enter our team in a weekend 6 on 6 tournament here in Tampa.

We entered the tournament a little short handed and did not make the finals in this tournament but it definately was NOT due to a lack of effort. Our boys again displayed a lot of grit and detemination in this 6 on 6 format.

Next for us is try outs for the up coming season - (details of the tryout are in the next post). All interested in joining our team, meeting our players and families are invited to attend. Next year is gearing up to be another fantastic year for what will be our Spirit U13 team!
