Round of 16: Spirit Boys Lost A Well Fought Game.
There was a LOUD gasp from the sidelines when the Spirit number 11 (Kobe) was viciously taken down in the opponents box inside the last 2 minutes of the game. But, to the surprise of most onlookers, the referee inexplicably missed the call.
That penalty would have tied the game and completed a fantastic two goal deficit comeback for our Spirit boys which would have certainly sent the game into overtime where they undoubtedly had the momentum.... but, I guess it was just not meant to be.
So our Spirit U12 Boys officially ended the 2012-13 season in the round of 16 FYSA Region C Cup playoff with a 2-1 loss against a very physical Manatee Magic team in Brandon Florida.
Congratulations to our boys, coaches and parents for an outstanding 2012-13 season.
